The main lodge is the social and operational heart of Cape Kalevala. All guests have full access throughout their stay — for meals, morning sessions, evening gatherings, and everything in between.
Space is available on the lodge deck overlooking the lake, inside the lodge, and at the outdoor lakeside area — giving you flexible options for group programming and activities.
The Sunset and Sunrise Suites are located within the main lodge — each 40m², with king-size bed, wood stove, heated glazed balcony, and en-suite bathroom. Direct indoor access to all lodge facilities.
Five standalone A-frame cabins tucked along the lakeside tree line. Each with a skylight above the bed, fireplace, full kitchen, and en-suite bathroom. Capacity of 2 guests per cabin (max 3) — total capacity up to 17 guests across the property.
Wood-fired lakeside sauna, outdoor hot tub, fire pit, private beach and swimming dock, forest trails, and a fully equipped equipment room. All exclusively yours for the duration of your retreat.

Cape Kalevala accommodates up to 17 guests across 7 rooms: two 40m² suites within the main lodge (Sunset Suite and Sunrise Suite, each sleeping 2) and five standalone A-frame lakeside cabins (each sleeping 2, maximum 3). The entire property is exclusively yours — no other guests or shared spaces.

Cape Kalevala is on a private 7-hectare lakeside estate in Finnish Lapland, near Kuusamo in Northern Finland. Guests fly into Kuusamo Airport (KAO), which has direct flights from Helsinki. All airport transfers are included — guests are collected on arrival and returned for departure. No private transport or navigation is needed.
Cape Kalevala operates year-round. Spring (March–May) brings Arctic renewal and returning daylight. Summer (June–August) features the midnight sun and 24-hour golden light. Autumn (September–October) is ruska season with golden forests and early aurora. Winter (November–March) offers deep snow, Northern Lights, snowmobiling, and ice activities.
